Hedges come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and formats; they can be big or small, formal or wild, deciduous or coniferous but they all have one thing in common. They must be trimmed regularly in order to look their best. A regularly trimmed hedge will be thick and even with bright, dense foliage; while a neglected hedge will likely become sparse and leggy. In most cases, trimming once per year in late spring to early summer is sufficient, however some formal hedges and topiary should be trimmed twice or even three times per year.
At Wildwood Treecare, we pride ourselves in the quality of our service. Our team of highly skilled professionals come with top spec equipment, including the latest battery powered and petrol hedge trimmers; specialist ladders to reach inaccessible foliage; and a selection of tarpaulins, rakes and leaf blowers for a clean up that’s second to none.
If a hedge has become much too big, we can perform a hedge reduction however this may not be appropriate for some hedges. This is due to a number of factors but is largely down to species and how neglected/out of hand the hedge has become.
